Let The Mills Act Pay You
The architecture of Pasadena is a big part of why the area is desired by so many. The bulk of the homes in our area are more than 50 years old making them all historically significant. Some "contribute" more to the historical integrity and can be eligible for grants.
California's Office of Historic Preservation has a special economic incentive for Pasadena homeowners. The Mills Act is a program that grants property tax abatements in return for the restoration and preservation work you do. Bottom line is, a Mills Act designation can pay you while also increasing the value of your property.
Pasadena Heritage has a special workshop coming up where you can learn all the benefits or Mills Act designation, how to apply for it and a primer on Landmark neighborhood designation as well.
The class goes in depth and is a must-attend event for anyone that lives in a home greater than 50 years old. RSVP required, see below for details.
