Could the 2nd Amazon HQ Be Here in LA?

Amazon HQ.jpg

Amazon is a huge part of most of our lives, from toilet paper and Kind bars to new desktop speakers and now Whole Foods, the online giant has its hands more and more in our lives and our wallets. It is no surprise that their desire to expand has reached most of us.

As the online retailer has surpassed most blue-chip companies of the past, cities jumped at the notion that Amazon wants to build a 2nd headquarter in a city other than the Pacific Northwest. It would equate to roughly 50,000 of jobs, $5 billion to build and millions in local revenue.

As cities lobbied hard for the giant to come to them, the potential list was recently cut from 238 cities to a shorter list of 20 and LA made the cut. While they say they seek community, the logistics of Southern California make great sense.

Coming to LA would sure mean a boom for . the neighborhoods surrounding and we could expect to see their new retail pop up shops come sooner than the rest of the country.

The final decision is still months away as they delve into all the proposals and options.
