People have been flocking to Pasadena for over a century and that fact remains today.  Tourism and shopping abound but the curious visitor comes for the established walking tours here in Pasadena.

Pasadena Heritage has been doing an amazing job of holding walking tours which are always themed.  Playhouse district, legendary Craftsman Weekend, Markham District are just some of the themes from the past. This weekend walking tour is themed Rose Villa for the historic neighborhood with the same name.

Rose Villa gets less notoriety than our beloved Bungalow Heaven and other known Landmark Districts but it has quite an influence on Pasadena architecture.

Founded at the end of the Craftsman era as a middle-class neighborhood comprised of professors and educators from Throop University (now CalTech) the lots are large and the houses are stately. Tickets remain on sale but not for long (these tours often sell out).
